Volunteer Work Day - June 15

Please join us for a Volunteer Work Day at SWAG Project, an urban farm in Newark.
DATE: Wed. June 15
(Rain date Wed. June 22)

LOCATION: 343 Meeker Ave. Newark

TIME: 9 a.m. to noon
We will be weeding, pruning and planting vegetables at the farm, which is part of Planting Seeds of Hope, a non-profit that uses urban agriculture and food justice programs to transform communities. Bring sunscreen, water bottles and boots or old sneakers. Stay as little or as long as you like.
There is street parking on Meeker Ave. or around the corner on Peshine or Jeliff streets. Because parking is sometimes tight, carpooling is suggested. The event will be moved to June 22 in the case of heavy rain. Spots are limited, so don’t delay!
